Daniel Dunes Didn’t Disappoint!

Wow! We’ve stayed in several homes along 30A, and this was our favorite so far. Everything about the house was fantastic—it was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. We absolutely loved the views and the floor plan. My wife especially enjoyed sipping her coffee on the porch swing each morning while taking in the beautiful scenery. There were plenty of toys and all the gear we needed for the pool and beach, and the beach cart was everything I could have hoped for! The beach access was perfect, and the kids had a blast fishing from the private dock in the backyard!

My 3 daughters and my wife and I rent a house every May and October anywhere from Hilton Head to St Augustine Beach and Gulf Shores to Crystal River. We have been in this area between Deer Lake and Easter Lake before. It is a very good location, but we have never had a house on the south side of the lily pond that is accessible from the back yard. There are several paddleboards and a kayak for use. My16 year old grandson enjoyed the fishing from a paddleboard on the pond and caught several bass. The house was well stocked, very clean and spacious. Great location and very close to the beach!

My friends and I meet once a year for a “girls trip” at the beach. This is the sixth year we’ve rented Daniel Dunes and just love it! The house has plenty of space with 5 bedrooms, the pool area and backyard are beautiful and well-cared for, and fully equipped with beach chairs, umbrellas, beach cart and bicycles. The beach access is close by and love how convenient the location is.

I and my 7 family members enjoyed Daniel Dunes very much. The location was quiet and uncrowded during the busy spring break season. Out the door it is about 800 feet to the beach. There are many toys, bikes, boards and other equipment to enjoy beach activities. The pool is very nice, there are lots of TVs and the beds are comfortable.. I have been to Destin many times and watched as prices for places have skyrocketed.I can say with certainty that Daniel Dunes is a very good value for your dollar.

Thank you for sharing Daniel Dunes with us. The beach house was so comfortable and we loved every minute of our stay. The owners were very responsive to our questions making everything so easy. In other words our vacation was “just perfect “. The only drawback was that we had to leave at the end of our stay but the memories will never go away. Thanks again from all of us.!!

This home is the best stocked home we have ever rented! An abundance of cookware, flatware, bakeware, etc! If you have a family who likes to do a variety of things, this home has it! No need to worry about renting beach fun! A plethora of bicycles along with beach toys, chairs, and umbrellas! The home also comes with paddle boards and kayaks. The private pool was a hit with everyone and so relaxing after a day at the beach. The beach is less than a five minute walk! The views are breathtaking both of the beach and the lake! The third floor porch swing is the perfect place to curl up with a good book. The furniture is very functional. If you are looking for a place to make lasting memories with a large group, look no further!

We had a large, multigenerational family group. Everyone had a great time. There was plenty of room, complete kitchen, fun pool, short walk to the beach, and plenty of beach supplies. Thank you!

This property was a great place for our family for a thanksgiving get together! There was plenty of room for all of us, and the owners provided everything we needed for our stay, including bikes, paddle boards, plenty of dishes, etc. It was also in a great location - steps from the beach.

Daniel retreat review

We enjoyed our stay at Daniel Retreat. The pool was a great size. The wrap around porches provided great views and nice spots for reading.The neighborhood was safe. Riding bikes to get ice cream , go out to eat, or head over to Deer Lake Park was another activity we enjoyed. The beach was close by and very clean. We enjoyed watching the dolphins jumping.The owners were very responsive to any questions.

Our family of 15 had an amazing week at Daniel Dunes! All 4 adult couples had comfortable king rooms and the kids had a blast in the bunk room. Beach access is amazing and the beach cart provided made everything so easy. It was so nice not to have to pack beach chairs and the toys provided were an added bonus. The pool is a good size and while we didn’t get a chance to fish there were fishing poles in the garage. This area of Santa Rosa is so beautiful and way less crowded than other beaches. We will definitely come back!

Our family of 9 (3 families from TX, OH, & TN) had a marvelous experience at Daniel Dunes! We couldn’t believe all the extras that were made available to us – especially all the beach chairs and umbrellas along with a cart to transport it all!! The beach was so enjoyable because it wasn’t crowded! We ended each day at the beach with a refreshing dip in the pool.
We cooked all our meals. The refrigerator was massive!! We had all the cooking equipment we needed. The gas grill worked well!
The responsiveness from the owners was unbelievable – positive, efficient, and oh-so-quick!

Great stay at Daniel Dunes

We had a great stay at Daniel Dunes. It was a family vacation with 9 children (ages 1 -9) combined; the layout of the home offered great space for each family to have some privacy and the bigger kids loved the bunk room. Proximity to the beach/restaurants/other towns, and “toys” at the house (bikes, beach toys, chairs, etc.) were a 10/10.
Host communication was top notch. I reached out about a few small things with an immediate response, and their digital guest guide book was something we’d never seen and loved very much!
While there, we discussed that we’d definitely rent this house again and look forward to a return visit. Not a negative at all, just an FYI that there aren’t spices/oils/etc. left over from other guests like some houses have. I’m sure it’s a pest control measure but just a heads up to bring your own for cooking! There is a double oven which is so great when feeding a crowd and the kitchen had plenty of pans, tools, etc.

Stayed for a week at Daniel Dunes with a family party of 12. Great house, great amenities and a phenomenal location. Short walk to the beach, and the “extras” meant so much (seriously, I had multiple people try to buy the house beach cart off of me). This was our first trip to the 30A area and the owners were exceptionally helpful and responsive. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again – 5 stars all around.

This house was great for large families. We had a family of 15. Kids loved the bunk room. Short walk to the beach. Pool in the backyard was awesome. Lights at night made it look spectacular!! Home owner was in constant contact with me making sure everything was perfect for our stay. I would highly recommend this home!!

Daniel Dunes Stay

We spent a wonderful week at Daniel Dunes with a crowd of 15 people. The house is nice and well-equipped, and it is close enough to the beach that it is an easy walk for the whole family. We especially liked all of the chairs, kayaks, and beach items that are stored in the garage, but the best beach item was the beach cart that we used to transport all of the items each day!

Thank you for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful home. We were able to check in early which was a plus for some of our party since they got there about 12:00. This was the first time that all of our sons and their families could be together in 3 years since one of them lives in New Mexico. Everything was as shown in your pictures and we utilized many of the extras in the garage area. We all enjoyed the beach and all of the kids definitely enjoyed the pool. The gas grill was a little temperamental because one night it would work fine and the next night it took forever. (may need to check the lines on this). We didn’t want to leave since the week we were there flew by. Thank you again and I would definitely recommend your place to others.

Front area was used for soccer, baseball and football! Locally, we visited the shaved ice shop a few times, Khave and Cream, and went to dinner at Beachcamp brewery.
Marina (host) is great and easy to work with. Timely responses and a great source of information. We enjoyed this part of 30A more than the “busier” sections that we’ve stayed at previously. Hoping for a repeat 2024 adventure!

Our entire family enjoyed another wonderful vacation in Daniel Dunes! It is a perfect location with easy shopping and beach access. The gated security offers added privacy. This home gives our extended family plenty of space and individualized sleeping areas and bathrooms. The availability of bikes and beach equipment provides necessities for enjoyment of the vacation without additional expenses. The pool area is great to enjoy any time. The most important part of staying at Daniel Dunes is the availability and immediate response of the owners, Marina and Patrick Daniel.

We really enjoyed staying at Daniel Dunes. Our family of twelve had plenty of room. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed to prepare food. We really enjoyed the pool. Having it heated allowed us to swim at anytime since the weather was unfortunately cold during our stay. There is more than enough chairs and beach toys. The walk to the beach from the house takes less than five minutes. We would definitely stay there again.

Daniel Dunes was amazing!! My sister, mom, and I stayed with our nine children ranging in ages from 3 to 13! It was perfect for all ages! Our mom stayed with two of the kids in the in-law suite, and the rest of us had plenty of room upstairs. The location of the house is amazing, too! The kids loved playing football, riding bikes, and “hunting” for lizards in the secluded “cul-de-sac” area. And, of course, we all enjoyed making the short walk to the beautiful beach everyday. Not to mention, there were plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys for all of our kids. The second day of our stay we couldn’t get the washing machine to work, but after contacting Marina the issue was fixed within a couple hours, without us even having to be there. We had a wonderful week and can’t wait to go back!

We love our annual beach vacations at Daniel Dunes. We usually make our reservations for the next year shortly after we leave at the end of our week. The entire home is extremely clean – just walk in and start enjoying! This “home away from home” has all the essential things needed to make the stay comfortable – dishes, cookware, linens, grill, pool, washer / dryer. PLUS all the recreational and beach equipment at your fingertips to have all sorts of fun! Marina is so responsive to ANY questions or needs (real or perceived).

After much searching for a suitable beach vacation house for our family to meet at, I found Daniel Dunes. Our family of 16 planned to meet and spend a week together. Although one entire family was unable to come, the house was perfect and would have accommodated all of us beautifully. The private pool was enjoyed by everyone and having access to bikes, kayaks and paddle boards for the older grandkids was an added bonus. The beaches were quite crowded during our stay and there was a short walk to the access but that AMAZING beach wagon made it possible and we were the envy of the beach😊 We found that restaurants in the area were super busy with long wait times and reservations were difficult as they were not fully staffed. We ended up cooking most of our meals at the house which was well furnished and included a nice sized gas grill on the deck overlooking the pool. The house is not designed to accommodate the physically challenged as every space requires some stairs but the views and each level balconies afforded great beach views and relaxing areas to catch the breeze and enjoy coffee or even a late night snack and talk with the grand kids. And thanks for the welcome cupcakes. The kids really enjoyed them.

We had a wonderful week at Daniel Dunes! We had three families, with 7 children. The home is set up very well to accommodate large groups. We’ve stayed in multiple locations along 30A and this location doesn’t compare! It’s proximity to a stair-free beach access and the lake make it the perfect spot! The kayaks, paddle board, garage full of toys, supplies and of course, beach cart, were the icing on the cake! The second fridge in the garage was a very nice touch as well.

Daniel Dunes was a great place for our “girls trip”! The bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas were perfect for our group of six. We enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, ocean views and the full wraparound porches. It was very important to us to have bicycles, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers and kayaks for all of us – and a special bonus to have the best beach cart to transport all our gear to the beach every day… With that said, we would be remiss to not mention the private pool – icing on the cake!! We came back to the house almost everyday and enjoyed a late afternoon cocktail and a dip in the pool. The location near the beach and access to the 30A bike trail was perfect. Thank you to our hosts – we had a wonderful week!

Excellent attention to detail by property owners. Great beach supplies, up to date appliances and kitchen equipment, super TVs, comfortable beds and bathrooms. Super house for family and friends. Quiet, safe location for kids to play outside and ride bikes. Strongly recommend.

We enjoyed our vacation at 30A so much, and the comfort of the house made it so easy to relax. The house was clean and neat when we arrived, and the owners stocked everything so well. The owners were also very responsive and accommodating. They gave us restaurant recommendations and answered all of our questions promptly. The day of our departure, we celebrated a birthday and requested a later checkout time, which they generously granted us as well.

Daniel Dunes is loaded with lots of extra fun for families. There is a swimming pool that can be heated, a lake in the back with a private dock for dishing, a grill which we used for 3 meals, 4 kayaks, plenty of adults’ & children’s bikes, lots of beach chairs & beach umbrellas. There is a bed-sized porch swing overlooking the Gulf which is great for naps.
We rented for Thanksgiving & were delighted to see 2 refrigerator/freezers and a double oven to hold & bake our Thanksgiving dinner.
The owners could not be a nicer person to rent from. They make their guests feel very special.

Our entire family (7 adults, 1 teenager and 2 children) loved every minute at Daniel Dunes. Our June vacation was delayed to October because of coronavirus but our enjoyment was no less. The heated pool was thoroughly used daily. The owners were extremely responsive and answers to questions were provided immediately. This was only our second annual beach vacation at Daniel Dunes but we have already planned (and reserved) for our next one!

Everyone in our family agreed that your home was very cozy and comfortable. Plenty of seating areas and beautiful views. The garage had everything we needed for adults, teenagers and younger kids . The beach cart and beach chairs were a definite plus. Paddle boards were a hit as well. If your looking for a comfortable and spacious home this is it.

Daniel Dunes was a great place for our family vacation! The home was very nice and well kept, with beautiful views of the gulf from the deck. It was a quick walk from the house to the beach and the use of the cart made it very easy. There were also many great children’s toys and beach chairs to use – there really was everything you could need which made it so nice and easy! The pool was great to have, especially at the end of a long day at the beach, and certainly a gathering place for everyone. Marina was so responsive to any questions we had and very helpful – she wanted to ensure we had the best stay possible! Would definitely go back!!!

This home is a great place for all! It has a separate suite for a grandparent couple or a couple with small children on a nap early evening sleeping pattern. The garage is a “toy store” for the beach!!!! Couldn’t have been better! Walk to the beach easy. Would recommend!!!!

Marina was so quick and gracious to answer all of my questions because of COVID, when we were trying to figure out if the beaches would be open, etc. THE beach cart WAS amazing! It was so nice to have all of the nice beach chairs available, too. Having a garage and extra fridge really came in handy. Our kids loved having the pool. They would hang out there while their babies napped, so they could still see the baby monitors, but enjoy the pool. Our early mornings were spent outside drinking coffee and eating breakfast on one of the balconies. Most evenings we ate dinner outside, also. . Plenty of nice seating on balconies and at the pool.

We had a very enjoyable week! The house was the perfect fit for our family! The pool behind the house was great to have! Great scenery from the house and nice and close to the beach! The extras that come with the house were nice to have , kayaks, paddle boards, and bikes! We would love to come back someday!!

Daniel Dunes was absolutely perfect. We have stayed in many houses on 30 a and none were as well stocked as DD. The house was clean, beds comfortable, pool was a good size, and the views amazing. The downstairs suite was also a plus for our early riser :). The hosts could not have been any more accommodating.

We have been coming to the South Walton area for the past 10 years and stayed in many different neighborhoods. We finally found our favorite! Seagrove Beach is secluded enough where the beaches aren't crowded, but still close enough to bike to restaurants and shops. Daniel Dunes had so many extras that we can't think about ever renting anywhere else again. I could list everything out, but just go stay there-you won't be disappointed! Marina is great to work with and VERY responsive! We texted her as we were driving for dining suggestions and within a minute she texted us back with several of her favorites. She is passionate about the area and it really showed in our conversations. We already referred our friends who are staying later this summer! Thanks again for sharing your home and making our stay memorable. Until next time!

Our family really enjoyed the wonderful neighborhood. Close to beach, lots of fun extras for everyone and close to anything you could ask for; ice cream, gas station, restaurants, shopping, etc. 30A is our favorite place to be.

This was a great home and set up for our group. The home came with extras like bikes and boogie boards that helped make our beach vacation even better. The pool was a tremendous hit for our kids and the walk to the beach was not bad at all. We worked directly with the owners and they were fantastic and on top of anything that we needed.

We had a wonderful vacation at Daniel Dunes. Marina was very responsive to all of our questions leading up to and during our stay. The house was very clean when we arrived and we were able to check in early which was perfect. The house has everything a large group needs, including all the goodies in the garage – bicycles for our whole group were a pleasant surprise! Marina has thought of everything! The house is a very short walk to the beach which was good since we had our parents with us so they could enjoy the beach as well. As others have noted, the beach cart at the house is the most amazing thing-easy to push across the sand and huge to carry everything we needed. The views from every room are amazing. We also enjoyed the celebrities that live nearby-we could watch from the deck! Thanks for letting us stay in your piece of paradise!!
As close to gulf front as you can get without the gulf front prices!

The best thing about Daniel Dunes is how close you really are to the gulf! We were thrilled when we drove up to find the beach only steps away and the views from almost every room were wonderful! The house has lots of covered decks all the way around with so much great outdoor furniture that we could all sit out on the decks to enjoy sunsets together, and there were 17 of us! The pool was a nice retreat from the days at the beach and it is SOOO private with the lake behind it which makes such a beautiful setting. We ended up taking lots of family photos in front of the lake behind the house. Marina provides so many things in the garage for renters to use which makes this house a BARGAIN! And, that beach cart is absolutely AMAZING!!! We were the envy of everyone around us and many took pictures of it to find where it was purchased-you may need to get some commissions from that company! We had such a great time and will definitely be back!

Thank you so much for allowing us to vacation in your home! We had four families staying and everyone agreed this has been our favorite house in the area. I can't say enough about the views! We watched the sunrise and sunset every day from the decks (upper decks off the masters are my favorite). The owner is great to work with, and gave us suggestions on places to eat and other things to do on the 1 rainy day we had. Everyone on the beach was so jealous of the fabulous beach cart which made bringing everything to the beach super easy, and the fact it even has umbrella holders in it was over the top! Everything about this house is well thought out and the owners have so much fun stuff included that would have been unaffordable for us to rent. Perfect Vacation!

Loved our stay at Daniel Dunes! Our family of 9 people had lots of space and the garage full of play equipment (including beach, bikes and ping pong) made this beach visit very enjoyable (with no additional expense)! This was our 6th annual family beach vacation - we have tried 4 other locations (in Destin) and finally discovered THE one for us! We have already reserved Daniel Dunes for 2020 and our family was discussing next year’s vacation plans as we walked out the door!!!!

We have been coming to the South Walton area for the past 10 years and stayed in many different neighborhoods. We finally found our favorite! Seagrove Beach is secluded enough where the beaches aren't crowded, but still close enough to bike to restaurants and shops. Daniel Dunes had so many extras that we can't think about ever renting anywhere else again. I could list everything out, but just go stay there-you won't be disappointed! Marina is great to work with and VERY responsive! We texted her as we were driving for dining suggestions and within a minute she texted us back with several of her favorites. She is passionate about the area and it really showed in our conversations. We already referred our friends who are staying later this summer! Thanks again for sharing your home and making our stay memorable. Until next time!

The owner of Daniel Dunes really cares about the people staying at their home! Before we even arrived, she gave us lots of information including places to eat and rent baby items we needed during our stay. The house was spotless, and the best part was that it was kid friendly. We didn't have to spend the first hour of our vacation putting breakable items out of reach from our little ones. The beach is SOOOO CLOSE, like other reviews suggest, the pictures don't really show how close it is. Also, there is not much traffic in this area at all so our gang could play ball in the neighborhood streets. All the bicycles were a nice surprise too! We will definitely be back again!

We actually just checked out of Daniel Dunes today (we were sad to leave!). We had a wonderful stay. The weather was amazing and allowed us to take out both kayaks and both SUPs several days so everyone on our vacation could enjoy being out on the water. Thanks so much for allowing us to use all those items. I've never rented a home that offers so many extras! The beach is so close and it wasn't crowded at all. We went to Seaside once and were so happy to have a house where the beaches weren't packed. Loved the restaurants close by - Old Florida Fishhouse was our favorite - remember to join their waitlist online! Really can't say enough about the house - the kitchen is well stocked and there was plenty of room for all of us. Also, LOVED all the outdoor furniture to watch the amazing sunsets!

We had a wonderful stay for our winter break with the kids. We had 3 families with us and everyone was glad to find all the goodies in your garage!! The kids had an absolute blast paddle boarding and kayaking. Thanks so much for supplying all the life jackets in every size. That helped us parents tremendously. We are so glad we found this house. We have stayed in the area for the past 4 years looking for the house that works best for us and everyone agrees Daniel Dunes is it for us! Thanks again for everything and sharing your home with us!

Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us. We thoroughly enjoyed everything you offered. Everyone was jealous of us because of all the things that were included - I think I may have gotten you a booking for next year from people staying in your neighbor's house - hope they don't get mad! Having kayaks and paddleboards whenever we want to use them was one of the best assets of this home because EVERYONE enjoyed using them! And because there were so many, we could all go out in large groups together which was perfect. We would never have rented that many if we stayed at another home. You all really have thought of everything with your stocked garage - we will just be bringing towels and swimsuits next time we stay at Daniel Dunes! We recently stayed at Daniel Dunes shortly after the hurricane came through just to the east. Marina was so wonderful to call us prior to our stay to let us know their home was fine and the utilities were coming back up. She was in constant communication with us to make sure we would have cable, internet/ and power before we traveled for our vacation. The home was much better than we expected. As other reviews state, the pictures just can't do this home justice. And, there is SO MUCH included with this home! It literally would cost several thousand a week to rent the items that are included which make this house our top pick every time. We will be back soon! Thanks again Marina!!

We had the best time staying at Daniel Dunes. We had 3 families and there was plenty of room for us all. The house was very clean on arrival which was great since not many rentals pass my mom's inspection! The kids LOVED all the beach toys in the garage. It was so nice not to have to bring all those things with us. Can't say enough about the views! They are much better than the pictures show so we were pleasantly surprised. It was so nice to watch the sunset from the balconies each evening. Daniel Dunes is definitely going on our favorite list to stay again when we come to the Florida Panhandle.

We had a great time at Daniel Dunes. It did rain a few days, but Marina gave us some great ideas for things to do and we absolutely loved our time at Shard Shop and came home with some beautiful treasures! We will be going back there next time even if it doesn't rain. The house was great and more than we expected. It was very clean on arrival and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed since we did a lot of cooking to avoid going out too much. The grill was used almost every night and we really enjoyed all the outdoor seating to dine outside. We even dined outside on rainy days since the decks are covered. As many others have noted, all the extras in the garage make renting this house a no-brainer. You just can't get all those things in any other rental home! We will be back next year, just need to coordinate calendars and we will be in touch. Thanks for letting us stay in your home!

We had such a nice time with 3 generations in your home for our vacation. There was plenty of room for everyone to have enough space and we loved all the outdoor furniture. There was enough furniture on the decks for us all to dine outside whenever we wanted. The kids (and adults) loved all the extras including the kayaks and paddleboards. It was so nice to have so many things included so we didn't have to think about renting-we could just do whatever activity we felt like that day. We stayed at Daniel Dunes in August with 17 family members and had the best vacation! We enjoyed the kayaks so much and took them out on the ocean almost every day. The kids loved seeing dolphins up close in the mornings. The beach cart was AWESOME! We were the envy of all the people at the beach and everyone asked where we got it. There were plenty of bikes for all of us and we used them to ride to nearby restaurants to get lunch. We loved all your recommendations on your web site and will need to come back again to check more off your list. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your home!

My family of 15 had a great stay at Daniel Dunes rental. It was a “best of both worlds” stay because the beach is in the front and the lake is in the back. We biked, kayaked in the lake and the beach, as well as paddle boarding at the beach. All were great additions to the rental. Our chairs and umbrellas were sitting out waiting on us every day. Even though the walk to the beach is only steps, the rental came with the absolute BEST beach cart we have ever seen or used. Very large to fit floats, bags, coolers, and a box of beach toys and the best part was that it was super light and easy to push. The pool was also a great addition, especially for the kids at night. The owners are very responsive and try to meet all your needs. Hope to definitely be back one day.

We've stayed on 30A for many years and this location is our favorite! It's off 30A more than most communities so it's quiet, but still very close to Seaside and Rosemary when you want to shop or eat. The house was perfect for us and we've never stayed anywhere that offered so many extras! Thanks so much for sharing and trusting us with your kayaks, paddleboards, etc. We made use of everything and kept discussing how much money it would have cost us to rent all those - which we never would have done if we had to pay for them. We enjoyed eating on the outdoor decks - this house has plenty of tables and chairs on the decks to accommodate everyone. On the one rainy day we had, we made use of the ping pong table in the garage and had a family tournament. Also, we were able to do 3 of your top 10 list from your online site - dinner at Crust, sandcastle building, and Cypress Springs. Thanks for all the details on those and we can't wait to come back to Daniel Dunes and check the other items on your top 10!

Five Stars for Daniel Dunes!! We had 15 people (10 adults and 5 children) staying in the house and it was an awesome week! The house had ample room for everyone and the separate suite in the basement was perfect for the couple without children who needed a break now and then from the chaos. We utilized all the extras in the garage daily (ping pong, kayak, paddle board, beach cart, sand toys, beach chairs, life jackets, bicycles, etc, etc). Having lots of options for the crowd was delightful. We loved loved loved having 6 beach chairs with 3 umbrellas set up for us daily at the beach. What a special treat not to have to cart SO much to the beach each day. There's plenty of shopping and restaurants within an easy drive and a nice little coffee shop within walking distance. The area is very active with families all enjoying themselves and in no way did I feel any stress from loud or raucous neighbors. There are lots of comfortable sturdy lounge chairs around the pool and enough seating on the decks to accommodate us all for dinner. The views are very good and offer plenty of happy sunshine to float into your living environment. We had one small issue with a bike lock and Marina was easy to get hold of and quick to offer a couple of options for solution. Overall a very comfortable, safe and enjoyable week for us all.

Very Family Oriented Home

We had a wonderful week at Daniel Dunes! This home is very family oriented and offers a wide variety of beach and lake toys so that you do not have to bring yours. The new beach buggy is SO helpful and makes the short walk to the beach a breeze with its huge capacity to load up all the beach gear you need for the day. Plus the owners have included three sets of umbrellas and chairs. The owners are very responsive if there is anything that needs to be addressed. We had all of our extended family with us and there was plenty of room for everyone to play, sleep and eat, especially with the wonderful porches and the private pool. Thank you to the Daniels for providing such a wonderful retreat!

We've been searching for a home that meets all our needs and finally found it! Thanks for all the extras - I know everyone mentions that in their reviews but it's worth repeating - the extras in this home are more than any other home we've stayed on 30A. It's nice having all the options for family members who like to be active while at the beach. The owners are great to work with and extremely responsive. We had a few rainy days, but there was plenty to do to keep everyone happy. Thanks again for sharing your home!

Daniel Dunes was a perfect choice for our first ever (grownup) family vacation. There were 7 of us (one mother-in-law, 2 sons/daughter-in-laws, 3 year old and 20 month old). Everyone had a bedroom and bath. The access codes were great – no problems! We were the envy of everyone on the beach with the fabulous beach cart! The pool was wonderful and heated as requested. Our favorite spot was on the main level porch – the kiddos loved it, very safe for children. We’d have to spend a couple of weeks at Daniel Dunes to enjoy all the ‘extras’ in the garage. The included daily beach chair/umbrella set up was a wonderful! Thank you for sharing your home!

We had a great time at Daniel Dunes in Seagrove over spring break. The weather was perfect and even though the gulf water was a little cool, we could still spend some time in the water. Thanks so much for allowing us to use all the toys in the garage. That made this house be the best deal on 30A. We have already booked next year and are looking forward to it.
A Beach Paradise

Our family reunion for the week of Thanksgiving was absolutely wonderful. There were three generations who enjoyed this great house with all of its living quarters. The babies were separated from the grandparents and the teenagers had their own room. The beach was absolutely as beautiful as one would expect from a Florida Panhandle beach, but the owners provided all of the beach toys the three generations could expect from beach chairs, buckets and shovels, kayaks, standup surf boards, crab traps, and the bikes to get from point A to point B without sitting in traffic. A fully equipped kitchen provided us with day to day meals plus a gormet Thanksgiving dinner for 16 people. We actually caught and ate some of the crab we trapped. We also loved the heated pool and great table that we played Uno on nightly. The only down side I can think of is that it gets dark at 5:00 sharp and it's not a very safe to bike after dark with no street lights.
Thanksgiving Family Reunion

My family enjoyed an entire week at the Daniel Dunes vacation home. There are 14 of us in all including three generations ranging from 68 years old down to one year old. There are four separate sleeping quarters including a little apartment that was perfect for my son’s family who have a baby and a toddler. We used the kitchen to cook constantly. It is well stocked and the full sized oven cooked our Thanksgiving turkey. All of the toys in the garage were great. My 16 and 13 year old grandsons thoroughly enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks, as did their fathers, mothers, uncles, aunts and grandparents! We went crabbing and actually caught some blue crabs. We used the bikes to go back and forth to the little town of Seaside where we saw a parade, ate delicious oysters and ice cream. There is also a Publix food store within minutes of the house.
The home is very nicely furnished, with tons of sheets and towels available. It’s also very quiet and we listened to the surf gently breaking every night. The beach is absolutely amazing with white, soft sand and clear blue water. We saw schools of Manta Rays who were feeding in the surf right off the shore, and there were plenty of shells.
We all had a wonderful time and would love to go back one day!
Celebrating a wedding in Watercolor

Funny story… we stumbled upon this house. My best friend’s daughter was getting married and we were looking for a house to rent close to the MOB. So we called what we thought was the house that they rented hoping for a local recommendation. Oops, the house # was off by a couple numbers and we almost gave poor Marina a heart attack. (Sorry Marina !) All turned out well and Daniel Dunes was available.
It was the perfect home for 7 adults and walking distance to 20 other friends and family members. I was a road warrior business traveler for many years, so I am drawn back to the few things that meant the most when I was on the road and the house had them all. Very comfortable beds, excellent water pressure in the shower, good internet that allowed me to connect to VPN and a Keurig. Life was made easier with lots of beach chairs, umbrella and such. We definitely enjoyed the kayak and bikes as well.
Marina was very helpful with suggestions for local restaurants and was available to answer any questions. If you are looking for a quiet place at the beach but very close to great activities, I highly recommend Daniel Dunes!
As a side note, I rented my dress for the wedding from Rent the Runway; UPS delivered it with no problem and it was waiting for me when I arrived.

We stayed at Daniel Dunes for a wedding and found the accommodations exceeded are expectations. We didn't realize we would have gulf views from virtually every room of the house! And the other rooms overlooked the lake which wasn't bad either. So, there was no fighting over which couple took which room at all. The beach was also much closer than we expected which was nice for those of us with bad knees. We didn't get to use all the extras that we wanted to because we had so many wedding activities so we will be back for a true vacation next time. Marina is a wonderful host and always provided recommendations for local favorites in the area. Excellent and fast response by text and phone which was very much appreciated. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!!
So Close to the BEACH!!

We didn't want to pay the prices of being gulf front, so we found Daniel Dunes.....lucky for us, Daniel Dunes is practically gulf front! The views are great from almost every room of the house and the walk to the beach is extremely short. The house was very clean when we arrived and had everything we needed plus all the extras in the garage! The location and extras truly make this house unbeatable. Thanks for sharing your home!
Finally found our annual vacation rental on 30A!

We've been looking for the ideal house for our annual vacation and we are happy to report that we finally found it! Daniel Dunes fits our group of 3 families and is so close to the beach - that's really what sealed the deal! Our kids had fun with the paddle boards and kayaks included with the house, and those will be great as they get older. We liked being close enough to Seaside and Rosemary to bike there, but not be in the crowds of either of those areas. The beach by Daniel Dunes is still like the old quiet beach community that Seagrove used to be when I was young. It was great to be a 30A guest at Daniel Dunes!

Perfect House for our extended family!

Daniel Dunes was a great fit for our group. We had 3 families and the 2 masters could easily fit parents plus small children which made it perfect for us. The weather was nice and being so close to the beach allowed the grandparents to come out and go in when they were tired. Thanks for all the restaurant menus! That helped a lot since we mostly either cooked or ordered takeout so we could eat on the balconies and watch the sun sets. We all had a wonderful time and were sad to leave.

We had fun taking the paddle boards out in the ocean and wished we had more time to take the bikes out. The kids loved the pool. The flexibility with check in and check out times was appreciated. Thanks so much for sharing your home, we had a great stay! We have never been to the area in October before, but I think it is our new favorite. No traffic and we virtually had the beach to ourselves! The house was very clean and had all the kitchen items we needed since we mostly cooked all our meals during our vacation. I think the best part was how close we were to the beach and all the views of the gulf. Thanks again and we look forward to staying at daniel dunes in the future.

Daniel Dunes fit our group of 14 perfectly. Although the weather was not great when we arrived, we spent time playing ping pong tournaments in the garage until the weather cleared. It was wonderful how close the house is to the beach so we could easily go back and forth throughout the day for meals, etc. A pleasant surprise was the view of the lake in the back yard was almost as beautiful as the view of the gulf from the decks. Also, it was really nice to have the backyard pool be more private with the trees and lake in back. We are marking this house as one of our favorites for a return visit!

Daniel Dunes was the perfect vacation home for our group. We had a 2 year old and we had a couple in their 80's. Luckily, the walk to the beach is very short and flat so everyone could easily walk to and from the beach throughout the day. Marina and Patrick were great and we appreciated their great communication. Thanks for letting us check in early - it helped us so much! We will book again!

We had a great time on our vacation while staying at Daniel Dunes. Marina is extremely responsive. Since there was a storm the day before we checked in, the pool had leaves and sand. After calling to let her know, Marina had the pool company there within an hour. I know a lot of other people mention the extras that come with renting this house, and I can't stress enough how awesome it was to be able to kayak or paddle board whenever the gulf was calm enough and not have to worry about renting for days when the weather wasn't nice enough to use them. They could easily charge 400-500$ per week extra for each kayak and paddle board. It was great to be able to take most of our party out on the kayaks and boards at one time instead of taking turns. We are definitely saving this house as a favorite for a return visit.

First of all is all the EXTRAS! You can't beat it! The owners allow use of 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards and a dozen bicycles. Renting these items for the week would be several thousand dollars, and it was nice just to be able to use them whenever we wanted both in the gulf and lake behind the property. Also, the VIEWS! Marina, your pictures really don't adequately represent the great views from Daniel Dunes. We had 17 in our group and we could all sit comfortable on the deck with a great view of the sunsets. This house is a gem because the proximity and views are basically gulf front without paying the prices of gulf front...and then did I mention the EXTRAS? That makes it a no brainer. We all decided Daniel Dunes will be our top pick for future vacations.

Location was ideal for quick trips to Publix, fresh seafood and great take-out restaurants! The weather was a bit on the cool side, but the heated pool proved to be worth every $$. The very close proximity to the beach was also perfect for everyone to take walks on the beach, seashell hunting, catching waves, sunsets, starry night walks, etc. The extra equipment that came with the house was also a “perk” – life jackets, beach chairs, wagon & sand castle tools, bikes, kayaks, etc. The house was very clean, kitchen had all the utensils we needed for cooking. Wish the weather had been more cooperative so we could have used the kayaks and actually played in ocean water…….but maybe next time. Priceless memories!! Would definitely book this one again! My family had a wonderful time staying at Daniel Dunes for a week. The location is excellent and all the extras that come with the property are lots of fun. Fourteen family members flew in from California, Connecticut, New York and Tampa, and we couldn’t have asked for a better vacation house. We were a small vacationing group - especially and in regards to the size of the house. We are just a family of three: Me, My wife, and Our two year old daughter. This rental catered to our size family perfectly as the main living quarters (full, modern kitchen, flat screen and huge sectional, kitchen table, porch overlooking peaceful street and beach, full restroom, and two bedrooms) pretty much satisfied every single need all in one, immaculately maintained level of the vacation home.
The majority of our time was spent outside of the home, and the homeowner was beyond gracious in her tedious and very thoughtful work she has put into the various information guides and maps and tips/pointers/etc all organized by the homeowner. That was awesome! Thank you for that. :0) We counted our steps to the beach..... My wife was approx 50 or so... I was closed to 35-40. The beach is literally that close. The pictures don't do this fact justice. But that was one of our most favorite parts of this renting experience.... The beach was so much closer than we had anticipated!
The pool area is perfect. It's fairly secluded considering there are rentals on both sides. The owners and the home developer have and are doing a good job on maintaining nice, private spaces. The pool area and grill area/porches were two of these area we used and enjoyed.
The lake access is also private, and while very seldomly used, it was pretty and provided and very quiet backdrop.
***note: this rental is QUIET! (Yay!! So peaceful!)******
Everything else was great. We spent a week in May 2015 and everything either met and/or exceeded our expectations.
I definitely recommend this rental to anyone looking.

This was our first trip to the Florida panhandle with family members coming from Georgia and Michigan. The house easily accommodated all of us and made everyone hate to leave. The beach is right there and you can hear hear the surf crashing against the shoreline. Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular since you are not obstructed by anything. Although it was January the Michiganders hit the pool and the surf and all went home sporting a Winter suntan. We mostly had the entire beach to our family. The convenience of having access to bicycles, kayaks and beach toys and chairs without having to rent them was great. We hope to make this an annual event.
The APP that helps you plan your trip is wonderful, it takes all the guess work out of what to pack and what to expect upon your arrival. The owners are great communicators and we sincerely thank them for sharing their beach house with our family.

Daniel Dunes was able to accommodate us all from the private swimming pool out back (heated to bath temperature if you are so inclined) to seating at mealtimes. The wrap around decks were amazing for evening drinks and the location was steps to the beach and minutes to nearby Seaside. We loved being out of the traffic of Seaside but so close for the amenities (including Publix in Watercolor). The private beach is maintained phenomenally well and the guys at BeachChairs4U will set you up some umbrellas that you can return to each day. We utilized the beach chairs in the garage, the kayak, pool toys and took advantage of the Wi-Fi. The new Keurig is a nice addition and the HE Washer and Dryer actually sing to you when they are complete. We enjoyed ourselves immensely!

Fresh water lake was awesome, as well. Lots of things to do but still VERY relaxing. Teenagers were thrilled with heated pool, kayaks and paddle boards. Owner’s manual (a photo album full of recommendations for nearby restaurants) was very helpful! Short drive to Seaside for lunch, dinner or shopping if you feel like venturing out. House was very clean and well maintained. We can’t wait to go back!!

Once again, we had a fantastic stay at Daniel Dunes! The owners couldn’t be nicer to work with and there are so many extras in the garage! We thoroughly enjoyed the paddle boards that were added! My husband was totally up all the $$ we saved by renting your home since there are so many things you graciously allow your guests to use. Weather was great, sunsets from the decks were beautiful – couldn’t have been a nicer getaway. Didn’t want to leave – can’t wait to come back next year!

We had the most FABULOUS family vacation at this house! Our large family was very happy and loved the spacious bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable too. We spent a lot of time on the multi-level decks watching the ocean and feeling the breeze. We took advantage of the long bike rides and short walk to the beach. They were wonderful! So much thought was put into everything especially the kitchen – they didn’t forget a thing! But the kids’ favorite amenity was the heated pool! It was the perfect temperature even for our off-season visit. I highly recommend renting this house. Neat as a pin, newly and beautifully decorated and it has all the modern conveniences. We can’t wait to go back! :)

A DREAM beach vacation!

We had a GREAT stay over the New Year’s holiday last year. Like a previous reviewer, I was hesitant to leave a review because I thought we may want to keep this place a secret :). The BEST thing about this home is how very close you are to the beach and the wonderful gulf views – it is as close to being a gulf front home as you can get without the gulf front prices. The walk to the beach is not more than 1 minute and there is very little traffic– so easy to go back and forth throughout the day. Both master bedrooms are very large – can easily fit a couple of kids on an air mattress along with the parents. The house is very well equipped – we didn’t even need to bring any beach chairs or umbrellas – everything we needed was already there for us to use in the garage. Kids loved biking to Seagrove/Seaside and having a kayak whenever we wanted was very nice too. The pool was great – very private with the lake in back. We will definitely be booking for next year! awesome house right on the beach

We had a great time at this beach house over Labor Day weekend. The house fits the description perfectly on the listing, and then some. The Daniels have thought of everything! When we opened the garage we couldn't believe our eyes--there's a kayak, a slew of bikes, boogie boards, a beach cart, among other beach items, and even a ping pong table! There is even an extra fridge in there! The house is spacious and comfortably fit the 13 friends who stayed there. The house was very clean and had nice appliances--we stayed in and cooked most nights. It was also great coming back from the beach at the end of the day and having a cool, private pool to jump into! We hung in the pool at dusk everyday. Marina was on top of communications and answered any and all of my questions quickly. Our group is from New Orleans too, and we were dealing with Hurricane Isaac's stress before and into our vacation days. Marina was very understanding of that and kept us up-to-date on what was going on with the weather/evacuations in Seagrove and the status of the property. I wish I could give her 10 stars, she was that great! I would highly recommend this house to anyone. You're on the beach in about 1 minute. Seaside is just 3 miles away. We biked over on our last day there and had lunch at Bud & Alley's. The perfect way to end our trip. We were so sad to leave! Thanks Marina and Patrick!

This house was amazing! Everything was lovely and in wonderful condition. Upon arrival I was a little disappointed about so many properties surrounding the house-was I wrong! Once inside, this place was totally private. Never did I feel that other people were on top of us and the pool is so secluded with a private view of the lake. The bedrooms and baths are spacious. We had our children and young grandchildren and there was plenty of room and privacy for all. We took portacribs and high chairs and there was ample room for all. The balconies are totally enclosed with gates at the top of each staircase. Everything that you could ever need is included. We were so pleased with all of the beach equipment-all we needed were our towels and sunscreen. The beach was never too crowded even though we were there in July. The beach is just across a small road with little traffic. We had four cars and parking was never a problem.

Family Weekend Getaway

WOW! What a beautiful home. The pictures will never be able to capture the true beauty and serenity of this beach home. We will definitely be staying here again. The ocean is literally feet away from the front door so it was easy to escape to the sand at any time of day and night. We saw the sun rise, the sun set and we even ventured out at night to see the crabs in the sand. This home has great crosswind when you open all the doors on the main floor. We never even turned the unit on and my mother and father (retirement age) were nice and comfy in the in-law suite just off the garage. We didn't eat out much, but cooked every meal in and the kitchen was equipped with all the utensils and pots and pans that we needed. One of the highlights of the weekend was finding out that the bike rental shop actually delivers and picks up......so we took a bike ride to seaside and back several times.......it was an easy ride and so enjoyable. Well, I could go on and on........we truly did not want to leave. Just as a reference, the listing is very accurate about the number of people who can sleep in this home comfortably.

We had a GREAT stay over the New Year’s holiday last year. Like a previous reviewer, I was hesitant to leave a review because I thought we may want to keep this place a secret :). The BEST thing about this home is how very close you are to the beach and the wonderful gulf views – it is as close to being a gulf front home as you can get without the gulf front prices. The walk to the beach is not more than 1 minute and there is very little traffic– so easy to go back and forth throughout the day. Both master bedrooms are very large – can easily fit a couple of kids on an air mattress along with the parents. The house is very well equipped – we didn’t even need to bring any beach chairs or umbrellas – everything we needed was already there for us to use in the garage. Kids loved biking to Seagrove/Seaside and having a kayak whenever we wanted was very nice too. The pool was great - very private with the lake in back. We will definitely be booking for next year! Fantastic home!! Pictures don't do the views justice - this house is VERY close to the beach - very convenient. The owners did a great job with the updates to the home - one of the best places we have stayed on 30a - not crowded and a short distance to Seaside and Rosemary. We will definitely be booking a return visit.

We recently returned from renting this great home for Patrick and Marina. The home is outstanding, great gulf views, quick quick walk to the beach, excellent pool at the home, and even a great little lake in the back yard. The interior of the home is well equipped, comfortable beds and furnishings, great kitchen. We will definitely be back again in the future!
